A non-profit and faith-based group, the Rose of Sharon Basis, has unveiled plans to rejoice 15 years of campaigning for the rights of widows, their dependents and orphans in Nigeria.
Talking on the occasion, the founding father of RoSF, Apostle Folorunso Alakija, mentioned the journey of constructing the muse has been rewarding.
She mentioned: “We’re seeing important progress in advocacy, notably in advancing the rights of widows, which supported the passage of the Violence In opposition to Individuals Act in 2015.”
The top of the RoSF, Dr Ndudi Bowei, acknowledged the muse’s influential contribution to the development of widows’ rights via the regulation.
She mentioned: “The Basis has an unwavering dedication to championing the reason for widows via initiatives and packages that help socio-legal safety and assure monetary independence and academic alternatives for widows, their dependents and orphans.”
